Prepare yourself |
When your Doctor (Cardiologist) suggests that you undergo an Angiography test, it is advisable that you prepare yourself and your family mentally using the following guidelines.
Example: If our Radio, TV, Fridge, or Water pump stops working we either get it repaired or replace it.
Of course replacing a heart is possible (by transplant) but Technology required for this is not available everywhere and it is very expensive. However, we can repair damage to it by means of either balloon (Angioplasty) Stent (Steel spring) (Rotablater brachy therapy etc. which will be explained later) or bypass surgery.
Bypass surgery will not be performed immediately unless it is an emergency. [such as a Left Main Coronary blockage] One patient in a thousand will require emergency surgery. So these cases are rare. if you are one of that doctors give the preference for same day surgery it is advisable.
The Angiogram is only a test used to obtain information about the heart's arteries. However, in more than 50% of cases, any problem found will be treated at the same time. Like balloon (Angioplasty) Stent (Steel spring)
The Angiogram test is not a complex procedure and will be completed within 30 to 45 minutes by experienced doctors, technical, and nursing staff, using advanced technology. You and your family should be mentally prepared Some times your family will have to give consent on your behalf.
If your Angiogram shows everything is normal, you may still have lot of doubts. Like; why am I still getting chest pain? and Why was my doctor giving me so many medicines?.
Here are some answers:
Case 1: Sometimes a patient can have a temporary blockage of coronary arteries and it clears by itself. Or anti coagulation medicine is given by your doctor to clear the blocks. So you are very lucky. This is the time to distribute sweets. Some sweets to dontfeel.com please!
Case 2: Pain may be coming from stomach (epigastric). Say goodbye to cardiologist and hello to gastro-enterologist!
Case 3: Stress is causing pain. The stress may have many origins such as tensions in the home, office, sexual dissatisfaction, and in cases, extra-marital sexual relations (Case studies by psychotherapists)
Case 4: One of the risk factor 3D and virtual reality video games [Feed back given by patients]
If your cardiologist tells you that your heart is normal and that you can stop taking drugs, do so immediately. Some people think that they will get pain relief if they keep taking their medication. It is unnecessary. If you are still unconvinced, please contact dontfeel.com psychotherapy. It may help you.
